First time on the subway!

Today I made plans with Mat, from my course, also on placement in New York. The plan was to go to Brooklyn to see an apartment he found and meet his to be roommates. The subway is pretty much like the tube in London. Grab a card, top it up, go through the barriers and wait for the train. Both the tube in London and the subway in New York have their good and bad points. Tubes have a train countdown, semi comfortable seats, subways have air conditioning, multiple station entrances etc. etc. As I'll be getting to the subway to work every morning I'm quite happy with it! Will be interesting to see what it is like on a weekday morning!
